A new Angus Reid Public Opinion poll has found in an  online survey of a representative national sample of 2,004 British adults that Britons trust the Conservative Party more than Labour to rein in the national debt (47% to 22%), and control inflation (41% to 28%). The contest is tighter but still favourable to the Tories for who is better to end the recession (35% to 29%), and create jobs (35% to 32%).

Conservatives poll more than Labour and Lib Dem Combined

Really Ready for Change

An ICM poll for the News of the World has the Tories on 45% Labour on 26 % and the also ran Lib Dems on 18%, so the Tories are polling more than Labour and the Lib Dems combined. This should give the Tories about a 180 seat majority in Parliament.

It is also as high as the Tories have ever scored with ICM, they have twice been on 45% before but have never exceeded it.

ComRes: Labour would do better with anyone but Brown

September 27th, 2009 fitaloon No comments

Interesting poll by ComRes highlighted on PoliticalBetting.  One aspect of it is that the Liberals are on a par with Labour. Being level with the Lib Dems is like stepping in cow sh*t on a hot day, it stinks and you know the flies will be buzzing about you soon. This is the first time in a ComRes poll that the Lib Dems have matched Labour.

It also shows that Labour would probably also be better of with anybody but Gordon Brown.

You get the feeling Labour would do better with a trained monkey rather than the current Glorious Leader
