Thom Evans is to undergo a second Operation on his injured neck. Apparently this is an “optional” surgery which he has opted to have carried out now rather than later. Hopefully this will help his recovery and he will be back playing rugby as soon as possible,
Chris Paterson, who was also taken to the same hospital after suffering serious bruising to a kidney, was due to be released either last night or this morning. Paterson, who made his 100th appearance for Scotland in the game against Wales, is expected to stay in Cardiff for a few days rest. The injury is likely to keep him out of rugby for at least 10 weeks.
