Roup of the UK
Gordon Brown will tomorrow begin a roup of this nation’s assets. In the middle of a recession he will start to sell of a “portfolio of non-financial assets” held by Whitehall and local authorities over the next two years.
They will include the Tote, Dartford crossing, the student loan book, the Channel Tunnel rail link and – having protected national security – the government’s stake in URENCO.
if, and I repeat if, he gets the true value of the assets he will realise about 16bn pounds enough to fund our deficit for one month.
Then the assets will be lost to the nation forever, bit like all the gold Gordon sold at the bottom of the market.

I remember early 1979 just before the last labour goverment was voted out and I thought that things were pretty bad then….the situation that next government inherits in the summer of 2010 seems it will be about 100 time worse!
Why do people keep voting these clowns into power?
