Written by Attached is the video of the Q and A session McChrystal gave after his presentation to the International Institute of Strategic Studies. He demonstrates in this a good grasp of the situation from the point of view of the military mind, but seldom strays onto the vexed question of the political problems in Afghanistan and the use of civilian staff from outside of Afghanistan.
He is very impressive in his answers and it is easy to understand why Victoria Anderton starts out her question with the statement about Gordon Brown. (it’s at about 11:30m) Her actual question is good one as well as she asks about McChrystal’s confidence that the contributing leaders of the ISAF forces will agree to his plan.
