Sergeant Stuart Millar and Private Kevin Elliott of 3 SCOTS killed in Afghanistan
The two soldiers killed on 31st August 2009 from the The Black Watch, 3rd Royal Regiment of Scotland have been named as Sgt Stuart ‘Gus’ Millar, aged 40 from Inverness and Private Kevin Elliott, aged 24 from Dundee.
My thoughts go out to their family and friends.

There is discipline in A Soldier you can see it when he walks, There is honor in A Soldier you hear it when he talks. There is courage in A Soldier you can see it in his eyes, There is loyalty in A Soldier that he will not compromise. There is something in A Soldier that makes him stand apart, There is strength in A Soldier that beats from his heart. A Soldier isn’t a title any man can be hired to do, A Soldier is the soul of that man buried deep inside of you. A Soldier’s job isn’t finished after an 8 hour day or a 40 hour week, A Soldier is always A Soldier even while he sleeps. A Soldier serves his country first and his life is left behind, A Soldier has to sacrifice what comes first in a civilian’s mind. If you are civilian – I am saying this to you….. next time you see A Soldier remember what they do. A Soldier is the one that is brave protecting you . Words can’t really express how angry I feel at these deaths. May they rest in peace and their nearest and dearest survive their hellish grief.
There are heroes who walk among us never looking for glory or praise They don’t seek recognition for their thoughtful, caring ways. Living lives of deep commitment providing for those they hold dear Steadfast with a quiet strength through times of laughter and tears. You are a person like that to me The most selfless man by far So Kevin, I’d like to thank you For being the HERO that you are.

) But i told you not to becuase she was staying at a friends and i didint want you embarrising her loads! Poor girl lol. She is such a lucky girl to have you to call a big brother!!
Life is so hard without you. You were such a babe to everyone, you would bend over backwards to make sure everyone was ok weather it was a person or knew you not. I miss you so much!
Here is a few memories i have of you:,
One night i was out in Dundee with you, you were soo drunk and everything so you were getting your phone out and you were going to phone your wee sister to embarris her and tell her you love her!(Which is true btw
Another time is when you were out in Afghanistan and you phoned me and you said, fuck this Kay im coming home! and i said noooo you cant!! And you were like how? And i was like cause theres a surprise for you coming home! And then i totally spilt it about there going to be a surprise party for you so there ended up not being that one, just a big night out on the town having a laugh
Another time is when you ran up in Dundee one night i was walking home and you were running behind me coming to give me a hug but i never knew nd you picked me up nd hugged me! Got such a fright but was glad knowing you were safe! I had no idea you were home! Lol! That was at like 01:30 am and i was walking home……i ended up not getting home till 3:30 pm the next day! Lol!!!
We all miss you so much Kev! You were the best guy anyone could ask for! And poor Barry, never seen a guy so heart broken in my life! Sometimes when i see him when im driving in the car, i just want to stop the car jump out and give him a big hug!

your the only one that understands where im coming from! I miss your name popping up on msn saying orytie Kayie:D, sometimes on msn i just type a message to you and send it, it helps sometimes, i always have dreams about you, i wake up and i wish i had stayed asleep longer!

This is a great poem! Puts me to tears evertime! Your daughter must be so talented! Very well done to her! I would be so proud if i were you! I thank people like her for showing respect to soldiers!
